Cissy Zhou

Following undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Princeton University, 22-year-old pianist Cissy Zhou is making her return to music.
Ms. Zhou débuted at 16 with the Toronto Philharmonia, performing Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto under Maestro Kerry Stratton at the season opening concert. Winner of the Junior Division of the Canadian Chopin Piano Competition, as well as Grand Prize laureate and five-time First Prize winner of the Canadian Music Competition, Ms. Zhou is a frequent winner in top national music competitions.
She has had numerous performance opportunities, among which are the Canadian Chopin Festival, Niagara International Chamber Music Festival, Barrie’s Colours of Music Festival, and the CFMTA-MTNA-RCM World Pedagogy Conference. She has also performed at CBC’s Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto and the He Luting Concert Hall in Shanghai, and was featured on CBC Radio 2, BRAVO! TV, and the Toronto Sun.
Ms. Zhou has performed in master classes for such renowned musicians as Leon Fleisher, Gary Graffman, Anton Kuerti, Luíz de Moura Castro, Lee Kum-Sing, John Perry, and Lang Lang. She now studies with Marietta Orlov at The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music.
