Gabriel Landstedt

Gabriel Landstedt has performed at festivals and competitions throughout North America and Europe. Recent competition prizes include Grand Prize at the Architecture of Music Competition, Grand Prize in the Royal Sound Music Competition, and first runner-up in the UBC Concerto Competition. When Mr. Landstedt was 16, he won First Prize in the Jackie McGehee Young Artists’ Competition, after which he made his orchestra début with the New Mexico Philharmonic. Festival appearances include the Chautauqua Piano Program, Art of the Piano, Eastern Music Festival, New Mexico Chamber Music Festival, Klavierfestival Lindlar in Germany, Salzburg International Summer Academy in Austria, and Val Tidone and Brindisi Piano Camps in Italy.
Mr. Landstedt has performed solo and collaborative recitals throughout North America. In 2016, Mr. Landstedt recorded Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Albuquerque-based Duke Symphonette. He made his New York début the next year. In 2021, he established the vocal-piano ensemble Keyprano Duo with soprano Allison Anderson.
Mr. Landstedt graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Music degree and Second Major in German from the University of New Mexico. He has made additional studies at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg in Germany and Manhattan School of Music. In 2020, he graduated with his Master of Music degree at the University of British Columbia, where he was as a student of Mark Anderson. Mr. Landstedt is now pursuing his DMA degree at UBC as a recipient of the university’s premier Four Year Doctoral Fellowship.
