Élisabeth Pion

Fellow of the Jeunesses Musicales du Canada and the Fondation Bourgie, Élisabeth Pion holds a Bachelor of music degree from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, obtained under the tutelage of Suzanne Goyette. She is currently studying with André Laplante.
Ms. Pion notably won the 1st prizes at the Thousand Islands International Piano Competition, the Canadian Music Center Competition, the Festival-Concours de Lanaudière (concerto section), and the Concours de musique de la Capitale; the Grand Prizes at the Concours du Chœur de la Montagne and the Classical Competition, and the 2nd prize at the Sherbrooke Music Festival Competition.
She has taken part in the Festival International du Domaine Forget, Orford Musique, the Adamant School of Music, the Brevard Music Center, the International Piano Academy Pianale, the Malta International Music Festival, and the International Holland Music Sessions. Ms. Pion has notably worked in master classes with Till Fellner, Nikolai Lugansky, Stephen Hough, Ronan O’Hora, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Bernd Goetzke, and Pavel Gililov.
Ms. Pion has been invited as a soloist with the Ensemble Sinfonia de Montréal, the Malta Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. In September, she will begin her Master’s degree at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, with Professor Ronan O'Hora, as a full scholarship recipient of this institution
