Elly Hung
Calgary, AB
Born in Calgary, Alberta, pianist Elly Hung is currently pursuing a BMus in Piano Performance at the University of British Columbia with Dr. Corey Hamm. Elly previously studied with Dr. Enrico Elisi and Mia Bach at the University of Toronto on a full scholarship, and prior to that, with Alexandra Andrievsky in Calgary.
Ms. Hung received an ARCT diploma with distinction from the Royal Conservatory of Music and is a prizewinner in several national and international competitions, including the CFMTA Provincial Piano Competition, the Carles and Sofia International Piano Competition, IPPA Conero, WPTA Finland International Piano Competition, and has performed as a finalist in the Vancouver International Music Competition and the Chicago International Music Competition.
Alongside formal studies, Ms. Hung has received scholarships to attend summer programs and perform in master classes with renowned pianists Ronan O’Hora, Jean Saulnier, André Laplante, Jerome Lowenthal, James Giles, Boris Slutsky, Brian Hsu, and Meng-Chieh Liu.
